Our Service

At DVTG, we provide specialized training and expert guidance for those on the front lines of domestic violence. Our programs, available through live and virtual workshops, equip prosecutors, police officers, and advocates with the tools they need to make a real impact. We also offer keynote speeches, covering critical topics related to domestic violence and its far-reaching effects.

Training

Prosecutor Training

Prosecuting domestic violence cases demands skill and deep understanding. Our training helps prosecutors build strong cases, use evidence effectively, and interview witnesses with care. We cover key issues like recanting victims and reluctant witnesses, teaching how to seek justice for victims in difficult situations.

Law Enforcement Training

As first responders, police officers play a critical role in domestic violence cases. Our workshops teach officers to recognize signs of abuse, gather evidence, and conduct trauma-informed investigations. We cover the cycle of abuse, victim safety, and legal steps to charge offenders. Officers will leave prepared to handle even the most challenging cases.

Advocate Training

Victims of domestic violence need more than legal support—they need understanding and care. Our training for advocates focuses on offering compassionate support, creating safety plans, and connecting victims with essential resources. Advocates will learn how to collaborate with law enforcement and prosecutors to ensure a victim-centered approach.

Workshops & Keynotes

Our workshops and keynote speeches dive deep into the critical issues surrounding domestic violence, including:

  • The impact of domestic violence on children
  • Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and their role in domestic violence
  • Mental and physical health consequences for victims
  • Legal challenges and strategies for handling complex cases

Whether you’re in the courtroom, at the scene, or working directly with victims, our training programs and keynotes provide the knowledge and skills to make a difference. Available both live and virtually, our offerings are tailored to meet your needs, wherever you are.
